Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Scriptory, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Account Responsibilities

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Scriptory.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • One account per person. Alt accounts used to evade bans will be permanently banned.
  • You must provide a valid email address for account verification.

3. Content Policy

When uploading scripts or posting comments, you agree not to:

  • Upload malicious code designed to harm users or their devices.
  • Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights.
  • Post spam, advertisements, or off-topic content.
  • Use offensive, discriminatory, or harassing language.
  • Upload duplicate content or repost scripts that have been removed.
  • Mislead users (e.g., false "Mobile Friendly" or "No Key" tags).
  • Upload or display any NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content. This includes profile pictures, banners, script screenshots, descriptions, comments, and any other user-generated content. Violations will result in immediate content removal and may lead to a permanent ban.

4. Moderation

Scriptory uses a moderation system to maintain platform quality:

  • Scripts from new accounts (less than 24 hours old) are placed in a review queue.
  • Moderators may issue warnings for rule violations.
  • 3 formal strikes result in an automatic 30-day ban.
  • Severe violations may result in an immediate permanent ban.
  • Banned users may submit one appeal per ban.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Paid plans (Basic, Pro) are billed monthly or yearly through Paddle.
  • You may cancel at any time. Your plan remains active until the end of the billing period.
  • Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase as per Paddle's refund policy.
  • Scriptory reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

6. API Usage

  • The public API is provided for read-only access to script and user data.
  • Rate limits apply: 60 requests/minute (free), 120 (Basic), 300 (Pro).
  • Do not use the API to scrape the entire database or build competing services.
  • We reserve the right to revoke API access for abuse.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of scripts you upload. By uploading, you grant Scriptory a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute your content on the platform and through the API. You may remove your content at any time.

8. Disclaimer

Scriptory is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for the content uploaded by users. Use scripts at your own risk. Scriptory is not affiliated with or endorsed by Roblox Corporation.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the settings page.

10. Changes

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
